I'm so pleased you are considering making an investment into your well-being.

Having worked as a counsellor since 2010, I trust that my experience can support you. It can feel daunting trying to choose a counsellor, so I encourage you to have initial meetings with a few therapists. I offer a free, no-obligation 30 minute meeting so that we can see if we might work together well. No two therapists are the same, and my wish is for you to find the style of talking therapy and therapist that suits you.

It is important that you feel emotionally safe and comfortable with your therapist, so that healing may occur. Evidence shows that the ‘therapeutic relationship’ is the most important element for success. My aim is for you to feel welcome, grounded, held and validated. You should feel safe and able to share your deepest worries and work through difficult histories. This is us working in a therapeutic/counselling realm.

Alternatively, I also offer coaching. This approach would be more suitable if you wish to explore what you want from your life, how to make it more rewarding or fulfilling. This approach would focus more on the ‘here and now’, rather than delving deeply into what makes you, you.

The process of therapy / counselling and coaching is to enable you to become more authentically yourself and less driven by external conditioning. You will notice a greater freedom to choose as you become more aware of your thinking habits and patterns, and grow more open to new options.

In the first session you will be given the time and space to consider your goals. Then we would explore them in sessions of counselling or coaching, or perhaps a combination of the two.

Whether we are using counselling or coaching, I will work collaboratively with you. We will find ways for you to move forward in the areas of your life that you would like to change. You will be an active agent and I will respect your ability to make the changes you want, in line with your values and priorities.
