Life Experience
I have achieved many things I am proud of: I have lived and thrived in Hispanic cultures and learnt Spanish and Portuguese. I trained and worked as a secondary school teacher, worked as a careers adviser, and cared for my
father when he was terminally ill.
I have also cared for other family members, coped with the loss of both parents in my thirties, retrained as a counsellor, lived alone, lived with others, cared for pets, chosen to not have children, taught myself how to be a fair landlord, kept fit, looked after numerous rescue cats, chickens and guinea pigs, walked dogs for The Cinnamon Trust, maintained friendships and written
to a new friend on death row in The States for a number of years.
I am keen on maintaining a good work life balance. I feel that this is crucial if I am to stay well psychologically and physically, and able to do my best work with you. I limit my working hours to ensure that I can be fresh and focused on you.
In my free time, I might be walking, cycling, swimming, gardening, cleaning out the pets, sewing, meeting up with friends, cooking, reading, relaxing in front of the tele, or enjoying the sun when weather permits!
